Even voorstellen, medisch student Chloé Moran. De afgelopen weken was zij in Sengerema om kwalitatief onderzoek te doen op de verloskamers in het kader van het promotie onderzoek van tropenarts Fleur.
My name is Chloé and I am a fourth year medical student from England. I did a qualitative research project on safe birthing and clinical decision making in Sengerema Hospital, as part of the PartoMa Project with other doctors there. The project went well- as well as collecting data, I was able to shadow healthcare professionals in labour ward, neonatal ICU, maternity and paediatrics. My experience was an eye-opener and really put healthcare inequality across the world into perspective. The research project was an amazing opportunity and a fantastic educational springboard for my years of training ahead. Sengerema holds a special place in my heart and I would love to come back once I have qualified as a doctor (particularly to work on the labour ward)!
